Privacy policy
How Shinyverse handles the personal information you share — kept short, because very little is collected.

Who I am
Shinyverse is the creative work of Laura Jackson, based in the UK. For data protection purposes I am the data controller for this website, shinyverse.co.uk.
If you have any questions about this policy or the information I hold about you, email me at hello@shinyverse.co.uk.
What I collect
The only personal information I collect is what you choose to send through the contact or commission enquiry forms:
- Your name and email address, so I can reply to you.
- The message you write, and the subject of your enquiry.
- Any reference photos you attach to a commission enquiry.
Why I collect it
I only use your details for the reason you got in touch: to reply to your message and, for commissions, to prepare a quote and create your artwork. UK data protection law allows me to use your information for this.
I never use your details for advertising, and I don't sell or share them with anyone for marketing.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are sent to me by email using Google's Gmail service, so your message and any attachments are processed and stored within my email account. Google acts as my email provider — see Google's own privacy policy for how they handle data in transit.
The shop links out to third-party platforms such as eBay and Shopify. If you buy from there, your purchase is handled under that platform's own terms and privacy policy, not this one. I don't take payments on this website.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry emails and reference photos only as long as I need them — to reply, and for commissions, for the duration of the project and a reasonable period afterwards in case you order again. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not run third-party analytics. You can browse it anonymously.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can object to how I use it. Just email hello@shinyverse.co.uk and I'll sort it out.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK's data protection regulator, though I'd always rather you came to me first so I can help.
